Here, there is an airpark with a grass runway that houses some vintage aircraft owned by one of the tenants. Among his prized collection is a complete, yet not currently airworthy, Douglas C-118A Liftmaster, a Grumman S-2 Tracker, a Beechcraft C-45 Expeditor, among many others. Photo Date: In May 2021 Credit: Javier Vera via Terry Fletcher Date Uploaded: 3 January 2024 Airframe: Bell OH-58A Kiowa, s/n 69-16122 US, c/n 40343, c/r N9004U Notes: In May 2021, together with my father-in-law, We bought an old Bell OH-58B Kiowa fuselage (military version of the Bell 206) with S/N 40343. Done some research of the history of the helicopter, it was delivered to the US Army in 1969, with serial number 69. -16122. In 2005, it was acquired by the Cherokee County Sheriffs (North Carolina) where it served until 2015. After that it was auctioned off and acquired by a helicopter sales and repair company.
