    Certificate of airworthiness for NX2009R (FOKKER TRIPLANE DR-1, 425) issued.

    2 May 1987

    Crashed.
    There was one serious injury. The accident occurred at Rhinebeck, NY, United States while taking off. The damage was substantial. The pilot was making his first takeoff in a fokker DR-1 tri-plane. After becoming airborne he yawed right, then left, followed by the aircraft nose falling below the horizon. The aircraft was destroyed in the crash landing which followed. After the crash, the pilot stated that he thought the first yaw was induced by wind shear...
