    Constructed as a C-47A-70-DL by Douglas at Long Beach, California, USA.

    Circa 15 December 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-100805.

    December 1943

    Transferred to 437th Troop Carrier Group, 9th Air Force, Ramsbury (Station 469), England.

    7 June 1944

    Towed a glider transporting men and materials for the 82nd Airborne Division to a landing zone near Sainte Mere Eglise Normandy, France on Mission Galveston.

    17 September 1944

    Towed a glider transporting men and materials for the 101st Airborne Division to a landing zone north of Son, Netherlands during Operation Market Garden.

    1946

    Transferred to Massachusetts National Guard.
    For use as an Operational Support Aircraft (OSA).

    1961

    Transferred to Military Aircraft Storage and Disposition Center (MASDC), Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ.

    11 May 1963

    To Iberia Airlines, Madrid, Spain with new c/r EC-ASE (Douglas DC-3 (C47-A70-DL), 19268).

    Leased to S. A. Spantax, Madrid, Spain.
    Spanish Air Taxi.

    21 April 1966

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Ejercito de Aire with s/n T.3-65 and operated with these markings: 745-65.

    10 August 1977

    Withdrawn from use.

    7 April 1978

    To War Birds of Great Britain with new c/r G-BFPT (DOUGLAS C47A DAKOTA, 19268).
