    Competed at the National Air Races Mojave in the Jet class. The primary pilot was Leroy Penhall. Raced in the Consolation race. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 467.924 mph. Raced in the Trophy race. Finished in 2nd place with an average speed of 503.551 mph.

    Crashed.
    There were two fatalities. The accident occurred at the Roswell Industrial Air CT Airport (ROW) Roswell, NM, United States while maneuvering. The airframe was destroyed. Aircraft was on promotional flight for media personnel the day before spectacular air show was scheduled to open. Passengers was local radio station manager and newly rated private pilot, who told ground crew he hoped the pilot would demonstrate aerobatics. Witnesses saw aircraft performing aerobatics 7 minutes after takeoff...
