    Converted to a KC-135A(ARR).
    Converted by E-systems into KC-135A (ARR) [Air Refueling Receiver].

    By 1975

    Transferred to 50th Air Refueling Squadron, 170th Air Refueling Group, Offutt AFB, NE.
    Used as air refueling trainer, being refuel capable, for initial and recurring air refueling training by EC-135 and RC-135 crews.

    By 1978

    Transferred to 305th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom AFB, IN.
