    Constructed as a C-130A-7-LM by Lockheed at Marietta, GA.

    Circa 1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 56-0493.

    Transferred to 817th TCS, 315th AD, Naha AB, Okinawa, Japan.

    Converted to a JC-130A.
    Temporary conversion for flight test operations; used to recover drones and spy satellite film capsules.

    Converted to a RC-130.
    Was one of two JC-130As converted to the RC-130S with the Battlefield Illumination Airborne System (BIAS) for night search-and rescue missions.

    From 1970 to 1972

    Transferred to 446th TAW, AFRES, Ellington Air Force Base, TX.

    After 1972

    Converted to a C-130A.

    By 1974

    Transferred to 17th TAW, 21st Composite Wing, Elmendorf AFB, AK.

    Circa 1974

    Transferred to 162D TFG, Arizona ANG, Tucson ANGB, AZ.
    Operated with markings: City of Tucson, ARIZONA AIR GUARD
    Served as the Operational Support Aircraft (OSA) for the 162d. Callsign was Gypsy 93.

    May 1990

    Transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number CF089.

    January 1992

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
