    Around 1:50 PM Forced landing about 60 miles west of Tennant Creek, NT, Australia.

    Recovery party.

    From 3 June 1974 to 7 June 1974

    Transported by ground. Delivered to Australian Aviation Heritage Centre, Winnellie, Darwin, Northern Territory.
    Towed out of the desert and recovered by a recovery party of the Australian Aviation Heritage Centre.

    Markings Applied: HAWG MOUTH

    From 24 December 1974 to 25 December 1974

    Damaged.
    Tropical cyclone Tracy devastates the city of Darwin, and with it the rear fuselage of the Mitchell Hawg Mouth. The aircraft was stored in the open air.

    Notes: The scene at East Point Military Museum, Darwin in October 1975 after a some aircraft wrecked by Cyclone Tracy were moved here from Darwin Airport. The museums B-25D Mitchell 41-30222 had been salvaged from a forced landing site 75 miles east of Tennant Creek NT. Wreckage of RAAF Dakota A65-104 and DC-3 PK-RDB can be seen behind the Mitchell
