    Constructed as a Lancaster MR.VII.
    Built by the Austin Motor Co at Longbridge, Birmingham, UK.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n NX622.
    Did not see active service in WWII, flying with the RAF for only 7 hours before being converted in 1951 to a maritime reconnaissance aircraft for the French Navy.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Marine Nationale with s/n WU-16.

    Was based in Noumea, New Caledonia.

    Notes: Star Visitor was Avro Lancaster MR.7 WU16 (ex RAF NX622) of the French Aeronavale, which stopped overnight on 30 November 1962. It had been donated to the Airforce Association in Perth, Western Australia and was being ferried from its former base at Tontouta, New Caledonia to Perth by a French navy crew
